Twelve Sittings £0raised for charity

The sitter picks who I sculpt next.

Can we make a chain of friends reach someone famous?

Half of every sale goes to the sitter's charity.

The opening film is made with AI. The portraits are made by hand.

The opening film shows a portrait bust being made: a wire armature, then clay, modelling, a plaster mould and the finished cast. The film is made with AI.

Why

AI can make a picture of anything in seconds, and for me it has taken a lot of the joy out of making art.

It hasn't touched figurative sculpture. A machine can't sit across from someone for two hours and push clay around until it looks like them.

I've spent twelve years in film making other people's ideas real. This is me finding my own voice, in public.

If AI has taken some of the joy out of your work too, follow along. Maybe it helps you find your way back in.

The chain

One portrait a month, from life. Each sitter picks the next sitter and a charity, and keeps a plaster cast of their portrait.

    A sculpt a day

Alongside the sittings, I make a small sculpt every day and post it, whatever else is going on.

    Day 1 is
    1 Nov2026

    Prices

The first portrait sells for £100. Each price after that is the two before it added together, so they start low and climb fast.

    £100

You can buy it before anyone knows who the sitter is. Each is a single cast, and the only other one belongs to the sitter.

    Give without buying

50%of every sale goes to the sitter's charity

Give straight to this month's charity through its JustGiving page. It goes to the charity, not through me, and counts towards the total at the top.
